Feedback gevenAll about delicious food with some good drinks; no real complaints from me. Has the potential to get a little expensive, but overall a very good experience. The Sweet Potato Cream Brulee is still on the hook?!
At first, I don't like the food. Eating is ALWAYS between 4 and 5 stars! But I leave my rating on two stars based on my father's experience. The management has made a foolish decision not to accept the call today, but I was told that I could come to the restaurant and issue an order in the bar in person. This is just stupid logic... a place with excellent customer service would have just got me under control until a bar employee could write up my order *It takes no less time to take my order personally than it does via the phone... but it made me sit and wait much longer for my food. I went to the restaurant to complete this stupid ordering requirement, and while they were quite busy at 1:25, I saw that there was no waiting for people to sit there was no reason that someone would not have taken my order over the phone. To make something worse... they say you can place your order online, but if you go online to place an order, they do not have the same food options available. Management must improve customer service. Even a low level of quality such as Red Lobster takes commands via the phone [often the Hostess accepts this order], secure Half Shell can at least match the customer service of a place like Red Lobster?! I could not order a lunch part of the alfredo Pasta at noon because they are greedy and want to charge dinner prices. The staff was at least polite. When I came home, my $22 prawns looked at Orleans and grottos.
We visited this place from the city. We visited the Half Shell locations in our surroundings and always have a great experience. When we entered, only 2 other tables were sitting and we waited about 5 minutes before someone sat down. Waiting for our food was 30-40 minutes, which seemed excessive for the number of tables. A table that sat after us received her food about 10 minutes before us, although we had two more people in their party than we did. Our steaks were a bit overcooked, but not enough to talk and wait another 40 minutes for a new one. We ordered files and probably half of them was fat. It did not seem like a $40 steak or the quality we received from Half Shell. Our server was very sweet, attentive, helpful and the only positive about our experience.
Always wait 20-40 minutes, but it's worth it. The oysters are super fresh and perfectly cooked. The shrimp and grits are the best you get outside Bourbon Street. This is our goal for Cajun cuisine and fresh seafood.
BIG SHOUT OUT 2 ERIN OUR SERVER 4 FAST FRIENDLY SERVICE....GR8 RAW OYSTERS, BACON JAM OYSTERS OYSTER ROCKEFELLER SMOKED TUNA DIP WAS AMAZING.. ERIN STAFF GR8 JOB THX 4 THE BDAY BREADPUDDING... the watermelon basil martini was so refreshing.. WILL B BACK...
