Oyster - Sparks

After a same-week comparison of several local seafood pan roast offerings, my friends and I agree that the Nugget's Oyster Bar remains the absolute best in Reno/Sparks. The service is prompt and courteous, the bread is fresh and plentiful, and they refill your drink before you can think to ask. Five stars, and highly recommended!

Awesome awesome awesome food. I tipped the chef as well as the server. True comfort food! Gumbo and Fish , Chips delicious. Prices actually less than I'd expected for the level of quality.

I have always adored the shrimp pan roast, having savored it numerous times over the past 40 years. Unfortunately, yesterday was the first time I encountered subpar service. It might be worth considering some improved training for the staff.

The gumbo and extravaganza were truly delicious. Although they were a bit short-staffed, I took the initiative to type out our group's order, including drinks, on my phone. The server was able to take our order quickly. Our food arrived promptly after we placed it. The lobster roll, lobster bisque, and calamari were all quite good.

We arrived around 4 PM, having made a reservation in advance. We were seated immediately, and our orders were taken shortly after. The staff was very friendly and addressed all our inquiries. If I remember correctly, the king crab was priced at $87.99 per pound. Luckily, they split it for us, making it easier to enjoy, and it was absolutely delicious. We also received a soup with our meal, and I ordered calamari as a side dish. However, I wasn't a big fan of the tomato sauce; it tasted more like ketchup to me. I think a tangy marinara sauce would have been a better option, but the tartar sauce was quite tasty.
