Gateway Restaurant - Sparwood

We opted for the Chinese food combo special. My husband chose the steak sandwich special with the beef Tortellini soup. It was delicious! The restaurant and bathroom were both clean. Linda, our server, was excellent and helped guide us in deciding what to order.

We were famished and weary, and were pleasantly surprised by this dining experience. Despite limited options on the menu, I was able to enjoy a customized meal thanks to the efforts of the chef and server. My husband enjoyed the meatloaf with a side of salad topped with real bacon bits, while I had fish with vegetables and potatoes. The local beer was excellent. The server was friendly and welcoming, ensuring a positive dining experience. We will definitely be back to try the burgers next time.

While working in Sparwood, I decided to give this restaurant a try and I was pleasantly surprised. The fresh, homemade pasta and delicious freshly baked pie for dessert were a real treat. The service was friendly, and the overall price was reasonable. The bright and clean atmosphere added to the dining experience. I will definitely be returning to eat here again when I am in Sparwood.

We have eaten there once before and as usual the food was excellent and the service outstanding. Try the homemade seafood chowder and if you like Gnocchis, you will be in for a treat!

They had a good selection for breakfast. Portions were a good size. We enjoyed the food. The two young waitresses seemed overwhelmed with what seemed to be a not very busy Saturday breakfast service
