Went to their restaurant for a Friday night fish fry. The dinner was very good. I had the breaded fish with baked potato and cold slaw. Well prepared and presented. The portions were generous. Service was prompt and friendly. We had a group of ten so reservations worked well as the place was quite busy. The drinks were tasty and prices were quite reasonable.
This is my first time back playing Pinewood in probably 30 years. It has a lot of potential. The greens are in real good shape yet the fairways have had a rough year with our hot summer weather. There are some bare spots and a lot of crabgrass. Senior rate for 9 holes was $12. The gentleman checking us in at the pro shop was very nice and appreciative of our business, and the grounds crew on the course waved and said hi as they drove by. I'm glad I played again and I'll be back.
Visited today. Moderately busy just prior to supper hour as I picked up two fish fry dinners to go. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice presentation in the to go box and the value of the meal included a very large piece of whole fish, a salad, fresh roll, a side of vegetables (or french fries) and a cup of soup. Every item was fresh and very good tasting. I enjoyed! While I waited, the staff appeared pleasant and enjoying their work. The golf course was a sight to behold--you would never know that we have had practically no rain for 6 weeks. Truly a paradise looking it over. Will do this again!
I feel they did a great job considering the conditions we are under. We had soup served to us then a salad with chicken which was huge. But the salad dressing was served family style and passed around, not good!!
