The family prepares your meal in a stationary food truck right in front of you. The dining area is open-air and shaded, with tables adorned with the family's photo albums. This spot is only open on weekends during the summer season (from the Summer Solstice to the Fall Equinox) and makes for a perfect lunch stop during a road trip. They also sell canned preserves made from their garden produce, and the food is just as fresh and delicious as you would expect. I would definitely return for another meal!
I visited this restaurant after a long drive, and I was blown away by what this small family has created. Their garden and farm produce amazing fruits, vegetables, and eggs. The menu is based on seasonal ingredients, and we enjoyed a delicious soup. As someone who is dairy-free, I was happy to see plenty of vegan and dairy-free options available. The restaurant is only open on weekends during the summer. It was heartwarming to see such a charming family and their inspiring way of life.
This unique restaurant serves organic meals and freshly brewed coffee. You can also enjoy a selection of gourmet desserts, which are typically displayed in front of the window. The food served at this restaurant is sourced directly from the on-site farm.
My husband and I had driven past this unique outdoor bistro earlier this year and said we'd return when it was open for the summer season--the bistro is only open on Saturdays and Sundays until late September. Today we enjoyed a wonderful organic vegetarian meal, freshly prepared from ingredients harvested from the gardens of Monkey in the Garden. The atmosphere reminded me of eating from a food truck--great food enjoyed at tables and chairs under a small shelter. Many people came and went while we were there, and all seemed to enjoy the experience as well as the food. The owners and their young daughter were very friendly and willing to share their gardening expertise and guests were invited to explore the garden. It's also a great place to get a good cup of coffee!
Homegrown, delicious organic food everytime! Wonderful hosts Michael and Brandie cooked while Luna their daughter played with us while we drank our unique drinks and waited for our freshly cooked meals. Definitely worth the drive to find it nestled in the canyon. Bring a bathing suit to swim in the river before or after your dinner. The whole experience makes this city girl dream about giving it all up for a more basic and simple life.
