Seewirtshaus - Spital Am Semmering

Nice ambiance, views of the World Cup racecourse and needless to say tasty Veal Wienerschnitzel. Great location as well.

Went up to Semmering from Vienna for a day trip to see the snow, and hopefully do a cable ride, but it was closed because of poor visibility .... so instead we went in here for a gluhwein and a bite to eat, and it was delicious.... so quaint, with the views of the snowy mountain as the backdrop, and tucked into the mountain, it is like a picture postcard, I loved it here!

We ate here 2 times and both experience were extraordinary. All of the foods we tried were delicious, staff were friendly. I highly recommend to try.

Food was under average and did not seem very fresh. You are in a tourist destination and they try to make money from everything (e.g. ketchup charged extra). We got a very rude welcome from the staff which did not make our experience much better.

For us, the most authentic place in town. Very nice staff, fine food and super environment. If we go there, we'll definitely stop there. Highly recommended.
