Konoba Insula - Split

The tomato soup was decent and had rice in it. Gnocchi was smart. I didn't like the frit dessert.

Maybe it a hit and miss kind of place, and I think I got the miss. My husbands steak was good but my tuna was over cooked and too salty. The staff were on interesting and provided something to muse over whilst we dined. Overpriced for what we got

The food was good. But. The waiter was terrible and not just to us. When asked about the cheese if it were cows or sheep milk his arrogant response was a smirk and I don 't know so I asked him to go and check obviously. Then the serving was with an attitude as if it 's all a great obligation. So sorry you guys might have a good chef but your waiter wasn 't polite and sympathetic quite the contrary.

We were at Split for just one day and thought this tiny restaurant would be great to dinner. But, the waiter wasn't friendly, not even polite. The food wasn't really bad but wasn't what we ordered. My boyfriend ordered prawns but had scampi. And the fish soap wasn't tasty. And the service was too fast. The waiter asked if we finished at the middle of the plate... Stay away from this restaurant. It was a waste of time and money

We received a referral from Konoba Marjan that this restaurant was great. We were truly disappointed since the server was horrid and the food was as well. The steak we ordered was a rump cut and chewy as can be. We immediately changed it because the steak appeared to be precooked and then served when ordered. We ordered the steak MW and was told this was how it was, no thanks. Server liked offering items such as bread etc, but not mentioning price. We ordered a smoked seabass with olive and capers, which the bass was not good either. The server charged us for a seperate side of olives and when we showed him olives came with the dish, his response was that we had to understand how he was comprehending the order in that it was okay to charge us for the olives seperately. The fish dish I had was fishy and not tasty, polenta was bland and nothing special. Pretty much wasted an evening and money on a place that was worthless. The server began to shake when we confronted him about the extra charge. Food was not good and we wasted an evening there. Stay away.
