The food was unremarkable; very small portion for a dinner selection, and the flavor could use enhancement for the dishes we ordered. The ambience isn 't really conducive to a fireside and didn 't present as warm and cozy . Of course, the wine was superb! I recommend Arbor Crest Wine Cellars regularly but I probably would only recommend the fireside dinner with a caveat about the food and ambiance.
The ambience of the room was nice and the location in the valley is one of the best around. The room noise was very loud, it was hard to hear each other over the din of the other patrons and the live musician. The room could definitely stand for some acoustic treatment as there are too many flat and slick surfaces windows, walls, ceilings and floor that allow for lots of reverberation/bouncing around of sound. There are practically no sound dampening elements in the room at all so it is a difficult environment to be in for a very long time.
A lovely setting, fabulous music (Max Daniel's), an excellent server and all around fun evening. We ordered the charcuterie board, sweet potatoes fries and a bottle of wine and loved it.
Our table very much enjoyed our night. The food was very delicious, especially that carrot bisque (as one of our servers knew, he was such a good sport! All our servers were very kind and attentive. We absolutely loved the music entertainment and how happy and energetic he was including the audience and making it such a fun experience for everyone! Would love to see those menus specials and the musician again. Thanks for a great night!
The drive up to Arbor Crest feels magical: high on top of a hill overlooking nearly all of Spokane. The tasting room is fairly small and can feel cramped, but they didn't crowd the tables and you have to have a reservation, so it felt friendly. Kosh, the musician, hit just the right tone: he knows his audience. And the food, at least mine, which was the lamb stew with pappardelle pasta, was fabulous!
