There was nothing wrong with our meal, but nothing really stood out either. The staff was adequate at their jobs, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. But this is basically Applebees under a different name and at slightly higher prices. I guess fire and ice needs to find out what makes them special and show it to the public. Because nothing here made me want to return.
We've gone three times to this place. The first time they had just opened and we actually saw a mouse run across dining room! The staff was super apologetic and the food was decent. My son loved his kids menu burger so we went back. My husband and I just didn't love the food. It was OK.Well the third time we went back, I had a date night with my son and since he loved their burger so much, we went back. When we got there a sign said please seat yourself. We chose a table and saw one other family seated. All the other patrons were in the bar area. I'm not kidding, we sat for 10 minutes and not a single person acknowledged us. One person finally in a rush said, I'll be right with you folks as he rushed into the kitchen. We decided to leave and have our mother/son night out elsewhere. It's a bummer, with such a cool name we really wanted to like this place, but no dice.
Really nice menu choices. Big open space, with a huge patio. Not a 100 percent perfect execution of dinner, but our server treated us like royalty, and took care of everything.Food was flavorful without being over seasoned. Traditional recipes I would say, with a few special touches here and there, like the Breakfast sunday. This place is close to home and it wasn't too busy or loud. I will be back!
We 've given this place a couple of chances but still not impressed won 't be back. For starters...it is pricey as heck for what you get. $18 Wings and same priced brisket sandwich were just ok !! A slice of garlic bread or toast (cheap! would make it appear you are getting some value to your high priced salad. My suggestion would be to completely overhaul the menu with better (more popular choices that are somewhat budget friendly, and expand the appetizer choices.
Nothing impressive here and nothing to indicate this place will be around any longer than the two previous occupants. Just typical bar/pub grub but at a premium price.
