Heavenly Special Teas Shop, Cafe Tearoom

This place is fantastic! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and there are so many tea options available. I highly recommend this spot to everyone! Even if you're not a fan of tea, the dining experience is worth a visit. I will definitely be returning soon, and I can't wait to enjoy one of their afternoon teas as well.

On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the teas we sampled were pleasant and well-brewed. Unfortunately, that's where the compliments end. The tea menu was quite limited, with a lack of variety among the few options available. Additionally, the doors were left open, making the noise from passing traffic quite disruptive to the peaceful atmosphere they were attempting to create. The biggest issues, however, lay with the food. The scones were served without any jam, and the clotted cream was a rather unappetizing mixture that tasted more like sweet whipped cream combined with cottage cheese. The baked goods, including both the scones and cakes we chose for dessert, were dense and unappetizing. The food was served in stages rather than all at once, which didn't help, as many of the options felt repetitive and strange in flavor. The hot sandwich was particularly odd—not in a good way. It resembled a flat cheese sandwich with raw zucchini, cucumber, and balsamic vinegar. Another sandwich featured the same cheese and was also unnecessarily drizzled with balsamic, resembling a deli sandwich gone wrong. The cucumber was the only decent finger sandwich, but the bread had definitely been left out for too long. The desserts consisted of oversized cupcakes, bar cookies, and a basic cookie, all of which were quite disappointing in quality. The molasses cookie might have been acceptable on its own, but it was slathered in cream cheese frosting, which overwhelmed the flavor. We ended up taking only a few bites of each item, which was more than enough for us. Overall, the experience was exaggerated in all the worst ways and lacked any finesse. We left feeling overly full and completely dissatisfied. It was truly disappointing.

We rented this room for a private party, and I have to say, the staff here is fantastic. It’s a wonderful venue for gatherings with friends and family. Everyone loved the decor and the layout. They really went above and beyond to accommodate us, and I truly appreciate that. I would definitely recommend this place. The prices are very reasonable, and our experience exceeded all expectations. I would absolutely book this venue again. If you’re ever in my city, make sure to include this place in your itinerary!
