Great food and great wine, the giampiero bear is exceptional!

Under the pandemic I tried their takeaway dishes (fish menu) and last Sunday we celebrated my mother's birthday by choosing a wonderful fish menu! fresh fish and selected wines. we also requested a gluten-free cake to celebrate the event and it was really delicious. Thanks really we felt super pampered. very recommended

I went at La Mangiatoia last week after years, and I can say that they had improve their job very much. I had a great selection of raw fish, with prawns, langoustine and tartare of tuna and amberjack that was simply delicious. Starter followed with a stunning homemade pasta with king crab. My wife chooses a dish made with scallops, foie gras and caramelised onion absolutely perfect. Never saw before a so great variety of wines, and the biggest surprise was the bill at the end of dinner. I can be sure when I say that is so hard to find another restaurant with so many great ingredients and wines from every corner of the world. If you are around this area you must go and try it. It’s impossible to go out disappointed.

This restaurant is outside the centre of Spoleto,and is a very traditional type of old style restaurant, well known for good quality meats and for fine wines. It is a large venue, with a pleasant outside terrace for warm evenings. The food is very good, the service ok.i would recommend this place for a special occasion as it is not cheap. I feel it needs updating a bit, and the food presentation needs improving.the menu is ample, and they will cook anything you want off menu if it is in season. For me, I felt it lacked atmosphere, but with a few improvements could be terrific. They also stock a lot of French wines, unusual in Umbria!
