Akaihi - Spring

I came in to eat on their hibachi side with my family for dinner on August 23, 2024. Another family joined. The chef gave a great show and the food was good. However in front of me, the edge of the hot surface was loose. I didn’t think anything of it. I had food leftover so I packed it and brought it home for lunch the next day. The next day I went to work with my leftover. Took a few bites and then almost cracked my tooth on a freaking washer. Called the restaurant and they said to bring it in with my food and receipt. I’m already eating my food so I couldn’t bring that in. So the next day my husband brought the washer in for them, but because we didn’t take the receipt with us that day we had no receipt to show them. The lady at the front was rude and refused to do anything about it. They are lucky that it was in my food and not my daughter or the 2 kids with the other family from that night! My family and I will not be coming back.

The food is good here, but I ate lunch here today with some co-workers. They got the “All you can eat” while I just got the hibachi chicken. Someone with our group ordered some spicy garlic edamames. I ate 2 of them. Apparently they were watching us and our waiter came over to me and told me I wasn’t allowed to eat their edamames since I didn’t order the “All you can eat”. I was like, “Are you kidding me???” I am sorry. I ate 2 of them and believe me there were plenty in the bowl. We actually had 2 at our table order these. There were so many that not all of them were eaten. I could not believe they would come tell me I wasn’t allowed to eat any. How ridiculous….

Portions so much smarter now for the orange chicken plate and it doesn’t come with the crab cakes and spring roll?

Can’t believe I’ve never done a review for one of my favorite local sushi spots. Y’all, they’ve got it all! Super friendly service, the food is top notch, and the presentation was amazing!

Stopped in for lunch today. The place felt dingy when we walked in, we were sat in a booth with the upholstery torn to shreds. Upon sitting my daughter noticed several dead roaches on the floor under our table... we brought this to the attention of the waiter and promptly left the restaurant.
