The Original Neal's - Spring

The food was sooooo good. I had half the chicken, my husband had a burger who had little chicken teeth. I'd say we cleaned our plates, but we were too full. I didn't care about the potato salad, but everything else was PERFECT. We didn't try dessert, but I got my eyes on a few menu items for the next time. As for the service, our waiter was great!! He was kind of helpful. He seemed to be the only waiter, so the service was a little short. We waited a bit. But as one who visits soul food restaurants in many states, and who also cook soul food; that's normal. They don't cook soul food fast.. PERIOD. And these warm breadcrumbs kept us company. My family will definitely and surely be back!

Can these people make a good meal! I'm sorry to say that we passed this place for many years before we got sick from the same old old and decided to try something new. Have been sitting there last Thursday and I have the ribbed eye and her steak has put many expensive steak joints to shame. My wife got chicken roast steak and it melted in her mouth. After such a pleasant experience we soon came back (4 days later! with children in the tow. The children were happy with their delicious cheeseburgers and fries, which I could not resist the steak for the second time. My wife was grilled chicken and she was not disappointed again, it was tender and well seasoned. We are happy to add a new place to our regular list! Great job guys! Food and service is great!

My wife and I have been eating at Neal for over 20 years. The original owner, Mr. Neal, was sensitive and always attentive to the quality of food. The chicken steak was the best I ever had. Not only does it have a great taste, it was also so delicate that you could cut it with a fork. He also served slowly roasted pork ribs with an attractively tangy sauce. And the desserts OMG! Fresh Blackberry Cobbler and banana pudding that were just as good as those made by my grandmother and mother. Unfortunately, Mr. Neal sold the restaurant and the quality went down steadily (together with the number of people who came to eat there). But I am so glad to report that the restaurant was reopened by former staff who have returned this gastronomic pleasure in his former glory. People from spring, wake up. Come back and experience the same comfort food you have grown up. You'll be glad you did it! We'll go there almost once a week. There is great pleasure to celebrate on this delicious menu. Cooking like Grandma makes up from scratch, friendly service, attentive but not transmitted. Will definitely return and recommend others. Thank you. Rare to have such a great restaurant and staff together!!

We were there yesterday for dinner. I had the cf chicken and hubby had cf steak and the meal was great! Great service, The waitress was friendly and very efficient, restaurant very clean. Great place to bring family and friends.
