We just recently moved to spring hill this year and have tried SEVERAL pizza places all ending in disappointment. I was starting to feel like I may never find a home base pizza place I was starting to contemplate how I could get my favorite pizza from Pittsburgh to Florida. It seemed hopeless until 'The Grandma ' pizza arrived in my kitchen this evening. Hands down will be my forever go to pizza place!!!! Thank you Mark Anthony for knowing how real pizza is done!! You guys rock!!!
Got the Grandma pizza. I grew up Italian in NY, ate homemade pizza in many a friend's home, and have made many a trip to Italy. This is the REAL DEAL. Dough is ever so lightly salted like pizza in Naples. The sauce is sweet and delicious. The garlic and basil are fresh and tangy. If you grew up thinking Domino's is real pizza you might be taken aback. But if you know good and authentic, you'll know this is a winner.
My husband and I were out and about running some errands and we came across this Pizzairra. I have to say it has been the best pizza we have had in the 4yrs loving in FL. Owner was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Looking forward to going back and trying some more Pizza.
Bro….. if this guy had a daughter I would marry her hands down best pizza closest thing to ny grandma pie
A perfect calzone is a beautiful thing. I 'd never been to Mark Anthony 's Pizza and I 'm glad I found it. I always try a plain cheese pizza when I go to a pizza place for the first time, and when I picked up my 16 inch cheese, I saw a calzone going into the oven. I had to have one. They offer two sizes: regular... and enormous (they call it 'family ' size... And yeah, it could feed 4 easily). It had been a long time since I had a calzone; the last several from various pizzerias were mediocre so I 've been sticking with pizza. This calzone was perfect. The dough wasn 't too thin or soggy on the bottom, nor was it too thick at the seem. It didn 't bust open and was perfectly baked. ......... And the ingredients. Holy moly! Cheese cheese cheese! The mozzarella and ricotta were fresh, delicious, and the perfect texture. And there was about 3 pounds of it! I ordered mushrooms and peppers and was pleased to see fresh-sliced multicolored peppers. The mushrooms were canned but they 're better that way anyway, in my opinion. It really was a perfect calzone. Oh yeah, I said ordered a pizza. As other reviews have mentioned, the crust is amazing. Again with the fresh mozzarella! And the sauce is balanced with enough oregano to be flavorful but not overbearing. Brushed with extra virgin, high-quality olive oil, this was an ideal New York style pizza. The man and woman working there (I didn 't ask if they were the owners, but I would assume at least one of them were) were extremely nice, also. If you 're ever in or around Spring Hill, give this place a try. You won 't be disappointed!
