Secret Recipe Bakeshop - Spring Hill

We have heard and read about this bakery and its famous Hot Dog Donuts. Don't worry, no hot dog I hate, just a fresh, soft, damn good donut with a whipped cream type filling. We come from an area known for Mom n Pop Donut-Shops and have not found to even compare with the donuts from our hometown in the Middle West. Well, we finally found it. Maybe the best donuts we've ever had! Even my husband, who is not a sweetheart, loved her. The freshness is crazy, melts fresh in the mouth! We tried a variety of a few options as you see in the picture, and I can really say everyone was just as good as the one before. I wish we bought more, but we didn't appreciate it because we all shoved it down! Well done Spring Hill Pastry, you went over my expectations and standards for a great donut. Also- If there is a line to order don't worry- it goes fast, but even if it's worth the wait!

For the first time in this bakery, the advice of a friend. The shop was well occupied and all the items looked delicious. Cake, cake and pastries so many possibilities. The lady waiting for it was kind and helpful. I bought four Eclairs. They were delicious. I will definitely visit my next visit to Charleston.

I usually add pictures to my reviews, but unfortunately this time I have not, I just have to say that the pictures you see on thier photos are really too par. I have copied a picture here to show that they really look like they are in this photo. The beautiful pastries that you are immersed in chocolate, are called dogs that I believe and they are dying and I prefer those without the chocolate, but both were great to eat. We also tried the canolas and it was like a cloud it was so soft. We never have something so soft and so delicious at the same time when it comes to bakery. The only annoying thing is to wait for it.....................and not in my hometown. Please enter Spring Hill Pastery Shop your business when visiting Charleston or hey just jump from the Interstate and grab some for your trip, you will not be disappointed, I promise you. First time here. A good selection considering I came in the afternoon. Looks amazing. Will go back for sure.

Brooke is hands down the best- beautiful cake for my dads 91st birthday. Spring Hill Pastry is always top notch and you cant ask for better service! Dont go anywhere else!!!
