Played a two day tournament here. Course was in respectable condition for a mid-May round. Layout isn't super difficult, but long rough will require a fairway shot. Many holes will require a three wood to avoid overshooting fairways. Range and putting green were great, along with a very nice pro shop.
Beautiful course and exquisitely maintained. The driving range and practice green are really nice. Heatherwoode has a magic about it that is unique. The design is so open and sprawling that it has a grand atmosphere. Water is very present in the many large lakes and creek running through. Very impressive golf course. -Dustin Stultz
I’ve been a riding member for several years now. I have also played at several city-owned golf courses in this area. Heatherwoode is absolutely the best. They are good stewards with their money. Routinely, they are making improvements to the course, making it more play-able, or improving the landscapes and aesthetics of the course. On top of that, you won’t find friendlier people who work at a golf course. I challenge you.
The best course in all of Dayton! The perfect amount of challenge and length without the hair pulling hassle of too many tricks and turns. You really enjoy your round here regardless of how you play, the scenery is unmatched and the quaintness is something other courses like yankee and mound don’t even try to compete on. I would recommend this course to everyone that plays in and around Dayton, the staff was excellent, the course well maintained, and the price of a round, remarkably cheap compared to some of the other courses in the area that aren’t even close to the quality that Heatherwoode brings. 6/5 stars
