However it was still outstanding, tender, and good salt and pepper bark. I would prefer it to be a little more fatty and moist. I would order it again. The wife’s burger was good, burgers are flat grilled, the way they should be. May be the best burger in town. The baked beans with brisket point (burnt ends in them are outstanding (maybe that’s where all the moist parts of the brisket are going! . The cold slaw is true southern style with Mayo, and it’s sweet. The Mac cheese is very good. This was our first time eating here and we will be back, regularly. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. Locally owned as well.
Wait staff top notch. The specialty here is barbeque but I spend a lot of time in Memphis and I guess that sets a pretty high bar; my special chicken leg quarter/sausage plate was ok but not tasting much smoke there and the house barbeque sauce didn't add a lot of punch. My super-busy but super-helpful waitress recommended the fried pie with ice cream and carmel drizzle and it was amazing. Buncha geezers like myself and a few workin' people there at midweek lunch made for a cool, laid back vibe in the place.
Love this “hidden” gem. Great staff and good food. You gotta get their chicken strips with ranch.
A restaurant that's tucked away and I have passed by many times not knowing what a great BBQ /Hamburger place I was missing. It's definitely a favorite of mine now..Had the chicken sausage special of the day with 2 sides and was a great value. Very friendly staff and attentive.
Friendly staff, low fodmap selection. Neat area to walk. Great prices. Its got it all!! Go and see Kate, she is the best!!
