Hunan Spring - Springfield Gardens

Popped into this spot today for an early diner and it was fabulous. The service was terrific. The place was not crowded at all two or three tables maybe having dinner the service was impeccable, scallion pancakes, or not greasy was like really done well the wings were super crispy and the fried wontons we're really good the wonton soup I didn't take a picture of cause I inhaled it very quickly, but it was delicious and fresh. There is no ambiance to speak of but you don't need it the food is yummy

I left a review years ago for this restaurant and apologize for my response and denial when asked if I left the review from the owners. I denied I did but I felt sure they knew it was me. I pointed out the look of the look of some parts of the exterior is somewhat dated in style. I neglected to relay the bathroom is spotlessly clean and fresh. I also made mention friendliness but I did not mention how attentive the owners and staff are with making sure you're order is presented deliciously. What the restaurant does exceptionally well is create fantastic flavorful food. I've never have been left to wait for long to be seated. Wait staff is attentive to how I would like my meal. The food is always fantastic. Always.

Passing through Saturday night, every table was taken so we decided to stop for dinner. I'd have to say keep going. Maybe takeout is better as the restaurant is old and very musty. Although the pancakes with my moo shu were great, that and the water were the best thing going. Sorry spring. The pad thai wasn't spicy, moo shu was decent not enough to come back. Online says they close at 10pm. We arrived at 8:15. At 9 when we asked for more tea and they said they turned the kitchen off because they close at 9. Most dishes are over $20. There's parking in the back. Check hours.

Gone way down hill slowly over last 4 years now everything is greasy and flavorless and the staff is classless

My wife and I went to dine in the restaurant yesterday, the food was great, the sever was friendly and quick in action, the atmosphere was pleasant. If you like authentic Chinese food, this is definitely the place you want to go!
