I have passed this place many times traveling through Labelle, FL but never thought to stop in. While visiting my uncle, he suggested we have breakfast and took me here. I was not expecting breakfast at a place like this. My uncle ordered some breakfast tacos and I decided to venture to the chilaquiles. Now, I 've had these usually with green sauce and sole type of meat and eggs. You don 't get they here... UNLESS you ask for the eggs. The migas plate is a similar dish and comes mixed with eggs. I don 't have a complaint with this dish. It came spicy and was just the right amount. I did ask for extra cheese. While looking at the restaurant decor, I saw their whiteboard with a special offering pupusas . These are not Mexican, they are Salvadorean. I have had these plenty of times with the curtido side. It was worth a try. The waiter was pleasant and provided good table banter and the place was quiet at the time we arrived. I cannot rate the place higher until I eat there again.
I 'm never one to leave a negative review, however I feel as though my experience deserves one. When first waking in I was pleased my family and I were greeted promptly and brought chips and salsa. I ordered some Chicken sopes, my husband Civeche (he orders this every restaurant where he can get it Our food was brought out at in about 15 minutes after we ordered. My Sopes were good..not great but good. My husbands civeche on the hand completely flavorless after using salt lime and hot sauce still completely void of flavor. After TWO bites he could not handle it. I requested it be sent back and be replaced with tacos. The Tacos were much better. Upon receiving our bill, we were still charged for the civeche he DIDNT EAT or LIKE! The waitress said we would pay for the civeche. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager said yes you will pay $26 for THREE tostadas of civeche! I explaned the situation (I 'm in the service industry. she (owner/ manager replied with nothing is wrong with the civeche, your husband shouldn 't have order it if he didn 't like it . I explained to her again my husband generally loves civeche and she said seafood is expensive it 's a big loss for me and you will pay for civeche . needless to say I will NEVER be back nor will I ever recommend anyone to eat here based on the customer service I recieved. This owner does not treat you like a guest and her worry of a small money loss on a plate has now cost her hundreds and hundreds of dollars in future business from me and my family and friends.
