Had to explain 2 both waitresses what a jack and water is. One brought a glass of water. Order our meal, wife ordered fettuccine Alfredo. I ordered chicken parmesan. Waited 30 minutes for food still about 8 peoplein the place. When we got our orders it was apparent every thing came out of a microwave. Dry, pasta tough etc. There have got to be better Italian restaurants in Springfield, even Olive Garden better. We have eaten Italian all over the country in our 70 plus years. Got to be worst I have experienced. Could not finish our meals. Sorry but I speak the truth
We took advantage of the half off appetizers and we had meatballs. The sauce was too acidic and the texture of the meatball was not pleasant. However the spinach dip was good! The pizza had the same sauce but thankfully the filling was able to balance the acidity of the tomato.
I love their atmosphere. It’s quaint, quiet and cute. The food was ok. But I was disappointed in the service. Our server was very kind and sweet but my friend kept on needing a refill and we couldn’t see our server. I ordered a glass of wine and didn’t receive it until halfway through our meal. I’d understand if it was a busy Saturday night and I ordered a mixed drink but this was a Monday evening with about 2-3 other tables besides us. There was a robot delivering dishes, it was a bit jarring, taking away from the atmosphere. Again, I’d understand if it was a rush night, a robot food delivery would definitely help. But not for a slow, quiet Monday night.
My daughter had the 10 oz prime rib and probably ate 3 oz of it. It was tough from the very beginning and was full of Gristle. And for almost $23 it should have been a lot better than that. Although I mentioned it to the waitress I'm only hoping she at least handed the cook the plate with the gristle-filled meat on it because we didn't hear anything from the kitchen.Pastas were good. Just don't order the prime rib.
Nice place, waitress's first job so service wasn't the greatest and slow, and the food was really good but portions really small for the price. Look to spend about $50 for 2 people without take home boxes. Half the raviolis were empty and really hard waitress was told about it and nothing was done about it. Needless to say will NOT be going back. Plus, the food was barely warm.
