Traveling through and stopped for breakfast. Waitress was awesome and food was delicious. Recommend the chicken fried steak..but everything we ordered was awesome. Also prices were very reasonable. We even stopped by on our return trip home. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast

I am forever trying to find a good place for corned beef hash and it is generally not good at all. The other place I found that is good is Gracie's in Newport. Well, this place was wonderful. Just as good as Gracie's. The corned beef hash is nice chunky shredded hash with big country potatoes. So anytime we head up to the McKenzie up and back we'll probably stop there and try different dishes. The staff was completely amazing. Our waitress was Emily and she was super busy and was still able to accommodate everybody. A lot of the locals eat there people would walk in and say hey to their friends, so it was nice. It's small community and a lovely restaurant. My brother had the eggs Benedict. He said they were amazing the pancakes there. I don't eat pancakes very often but my family does and they were thick. Fluffy crispy around the edge beautiful pancakes. My mom liked it so much and she's old so she doesn't eat that much. So she actually took the rest of her's home to have dinner tonight because they're about the size of I don't know. Probably at least 10 in and beautiful. They have lots of lovely desserts. Homemade right now they have this pumpkin bread pudding with a bourbon reduction sauce drizzled over it and I'm sure it's pretty good. I didn't get it but it sure sounded good and the lady made a beautiful lemon cream cake and walked around and showed everybody. I think she was doing it to sell some and she did and I bought some and I still haven't taken a bite but I'm sure it's delicious. Anyways if you're ever up in Walterville I'd make that your stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Highly recommend it Kid-friendliness: Super friendly family oriented. The staff is amazing
