Hot Peppercorn Asian Cuisine

I recently dined at this restaurant, which appears to have new owners. I ordered the general Tso's fried rice lunch special for $8.25, with the affordable price being the only positive aspect of my meal. Unfortunately, the food was quite bland. Chinese cuisine is typically known for its bold flavors from salt and spices, but this meal was lacking in seasoning. I had to add soy sauce to the fried rice to give it some flavor, but it still didn't quite hit the mark. I usually don't complain at restaurants, as I understand that things can go wrong in the kitchen, but this experience was disappointing. I ended up scraping off the sauce as much as I could and just ate the plain rice. I was also surprised when the server offered me hot tea, as that had never happened before. Overall, I don't plan on returning to this restaurant in the future.

Hot Peppercorns in Springfield, VA used to be under a different name and possibly different management. I had stopped going there for over four years because the food was not good. Today, I really wanted dim sum, but all of my usual places had declined in quality. My favorite dim sum place, "Vote," is now closed. I was hesitant to try Hot Peppercorns because I thought it was the same old restaurant I didn't like. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The aroma and taste were just as I remembered from the past. I ordered more dishes than what was shown in the pictures. I hope they continue to maintain their flavors and high quality.

I love dining at this restaurant. They offer unique dishes such as Shanghai soup dumplings that are not easy to come by. I also enjoy their specials, like the aubergines with salty fish. I would give this restaurant 4 stars, but today we tried the sesame chicken and it tasted like it was fried in fish oil, which affected the flavor. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback into consideration.

Ordered the orange hull, bark lo pornstar, traditional knuckle, chicken ergyyoza, scalion pancakes, and crabs and cream cheese wonton. eating was amazing and the staff was friendly and welcoming. from the northeast, eating was delicious and highly recommended.

Very clean and bright with fun decor and beautiful presentation. The staff were very attentive and service was quick. The food was authentic and delicious! We were very impressed with the selection and everything we ordered. We will definitely be back and will be bringing friends!
