Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

My husband ordered whole milk, but they served it in small containers that we were supposed to pour into a glass—which was a bit odd. When he took a sip, he discovered the milk was expired, sour, and rancid. It was truly disgusting! When one of the waiters returned, we told her about it, and she acknowledged, “Oh yeah, that milk is bad. I don’t know why they brought it out.” I expected some form of compensation for this, but we were still charged for the spoiled milk. The service was slow; it took the wait staff quite a while to reach our table again, and then it took around 15 minutes to bring us our drinks. By the time we were served, we were starving. I discovered that Sundays are their busiest days. The food was delicious, and our server, Baylie, provided excellent service. We had brunch, and the price per person was between $10 and $20. I would rate the food 4 out of 5, the service 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere 4 out of 5.

Food was good and fun to look around shop while waiting but took longer then told for our group to go being told because size of group but we could see a bunch of tables. Then we had to request stuff over and over. Took forever for refills for us. Then our checks were mixed up with what we ordered. We were informed that our meals were being prepared, but we waited 20 minutes before our food finally arrived, and it was cold and hard. In total, we waited 45 minutes for our meal. They did serve us biscuits and gravy to compensate for the long wait, but neither of us enjoys biscuits and gravy, and we didn’t want to fill up on that when we were looking forward to French toast!
