It was obvious that it had been kept under a heat lamp for too long, and the skin looked discolored. I called the restaurant to report the issue, but all I received were excuses about how busy they were and that the Skip driver might have taken too long. Eventually, the manager contacted me to try to resolve the situation, but at that point, I had lost interest in continuing to engage with the restaurant.
The food was good, but I had to remind them about my drink since they forgot it. Additionally, the fries have been permanently changed to seasoned fries, which are way too salty now.
I was left completely baffled! KFC had no chicken available. When your restaurant specializes in chicken and it's dinner time, how can you run out and offer only gravy and soda? I don't see how this place can stay in business much longer. I'm really not impressed at all!
I just spent over $25 on cold, dry hot wings and 14 pieces of popcorn chicken, accompanied, as usual, by KFC's classic soggy fries. I should have learned from my last disappointing experience and not returned, but it was my children's last day of school and they requested KFC. Unfortunately, they were very dissatisfied with the food—each go box contained only seven pieces of popcorn chicken, and the rest was soggy fries. The wings were inedible. I was under the impression that there were quality control measures in place to ensure food meets minimum standards, but clearly that isn't the case, as the wings must have been sitting out all day.
I wouldn't even give this place one star if there were an option for negative ten! What I had didn't even resemble a KFC recipe; it was disgusting and dry. The gravy tasted more like beef gravy than anything else. I really think KFC needs to improve their quality control, but it seems they don't care as long as they're collecting franchise fees! The online survey doesn't even work; it keeps saying it has expired! It looks like St. Albert and Spruce Grove are following the same path, substituting poor-quality food for the real thing!
