The At Sopwell House - St. Albans

Excellent celebration of our wedding anniversary. from restaurant to brasserie in the evening with no problem we really appreciated. a great meal, excellent service and relaxed atmosphere

Super evening in restaurant in sopwell house. eating was fantastic and full of taste, bark meat filet was perfectly cooked and the panna cotta desert with lavender gel and meringue was excellent. the service was very attentive, but we were not rushed at all, which gave us the opportunity to listen to the gitarist who plays some beautiful Spanish ballad, which makes our romantic evening a very pleasant. I would recommend it in restaurant, sopwell house.

Very disappointed by restaurant, no real atmosphere and eat really terrible. does not fit vegetarians. not sure what they want to achieve here needs a complete review.

The restaurant was not busy when we arrived on a Saturday evening. The room reminded me of a seaside hotelk with large windows. The tables were occupied by couples who I assume were there for an overnight stay. The food was innovative and very good. I had pork belly to start which was a very small portion, however very tasty, for main course I had the beef which was cooked to perfection. To end the meal I had salted caramel tart which was very nice. In conclusion the food was very good and worth a visit with a spa day at the Sopwell House club spa before dinner.
