Honestly, I was disappointed. I ordered the medium (medium refers not to the size but to the amount of marbling, or fat, in the brisket) and while it was tasty enough, it lacked sorely in the quantity department. Authentic Montreal-style smoked meat sandwiches are piled HIGH with meat (and when I say high, I mean about three to five inches high) but the amount of meat here was about one inch high and although the meat was hot, juicy, tender, and flavourful, that is not a good value for a sandwich that set me back almost $10. On a closing note, I'm not a fan of the extremely overly-salty Kosher dill pickle (I know many people love Kosher-style dill pickles but I'm not a fan, it's just a personal preference); this pickle was intolerably salty to the point of being inedible. (Sorry). The staff was friendly enough and the tiny little place seems nicely kept, organized, and clean.
I 'll definitely go back!. Great food, really tasty... it 's nice to have a different option. Fair price. I will definitely go back!
Great Place to Eat. This is a fantastic eatery with excellent service and fresh product. This eatery has great smoked meat; very tasty stuff. Would recommend anything on the menu and friendly service to boot; a great combination! Take it from the others who have eaten here and liked it! Try it yourself and I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised!
My Breakfast Fave!. Now part of my morning routine, best breakfast sandwiches! Montreal Smoked meat breakfast sandwich is the best. Fresh made with real cheese and egg. I haven't found quality like this downtown especially for the price. For someone who hates to cook I'm glad I found this place. Friendly people who care is a bonus.
I gambled, and lost.. Well. I tried it. 50% approval rating, 1 comment says it's ok. 1 comment (that is apparently 3 comments) say it was bad. so i tried it. I had the sampler, and my son had a sandwich (I forget which, sorry). Everything on the sampler was pretty subpar. I really wish I had saved the money and just bought the frozen versions of each thing from Save-On down the road. I think the only real difference would have been in dollar value, with better sausage. I tried a bite of the sandwich, and it tasted like a warm sandwich. Nothing special. It's warmed up, thick cut lunch meat, on bread. My son didn't like it, but he's sort of picky, so he doesn't like much. We both liked the pickle. It was a really good pickle, much better than canned. The staff was friendly enough, and I think that might be the only real draw. The smiles and the pickle. Take a pass on the food.
