Japanese Village - St. Andrew's Parish

While I was in town,for work. I checked this restaurant out. The food was amazing,the chef was awesome,very friendly and also provided us with more details on how things were being prepared. I would say it's slightly pricey. But the overall experience was brilliant.

I was so grateful to find Wagyu beef finally having been looking for myself online for home or to consume at restaurants around my home. I’m from Ontario, Born in Toronto and moved to Durham region now living in Durham for 13 years.I ordered the “A5 Wagyu Striploin 5oz Dinner.” And the food was Divine. The last I had rice this good, I was living in Toronto. Of course, the Wagyu only makes me think of when I can next go and enjoy the dinner again. I thankfully trusted my judgement and had to take my dinner to go and shortly after needed to leave the mall. However I do vlog, as I am a YouTuber. “Wagyu Beef West Edmonton Mall Japanese Village” by Iris L can be found on YouTube. I loved everything about the restaurant and the Host, I believe “Almar” which I doubt I spelt right at all, but absolutely do not want to forget was such a charm. So kind, from allowing me to have a Menu so I can look at the food while others looked at the Menu on Display. To guiding me through the restaurant, letting me pay and taking me to the Bar after where I got to enjoy delicious Hot Sake. From packing my food himself with additional care and allowing the entire experience to go beautifully, I would not mind visiting this restaurant again to see him itself.Do eat at Japanese Village.

The Cook was excellent, the place was very noisy, you couldn't talk. Our waitress came by and took our drink and food orders and that was it. If you wanted a drink or anything you had to flag her down and ask. At the end of the meal, in most all restaurants, the waitress would come and ask if anyone would like dessert. Here she came by and asked if we would like the bill now. We were a group of 15, if that matters.

Food was great, our server was not ! she slammed everything down had no patience, had to ask for water multiple times. Had to track down other servers. For a place with a high bill price you would think they would work on services.... did not feel welcome. Food is always decent. Zero show was performed

Everything would be fine, if not the last moment with a TIP. I gave 25 Ca (cash) and I think it's a good tip. In response to this, the waiter canceled the payment, apologized and ran away. After her return, she informed me that everything was already included in my payment and I don't have to worry about tips. As it turned out, they took 50 CA tips from me, it felt like they brazenly robbed me. Watch for this moment, do not let yourself be robbed! Everyone wants money ?, but the tip should be left to the client's choice!
