Japanese Village - St. Andrew's Parish

Have eaten at several restaurants with similar set up. I will start with first issue, plain white rice. Paying what they charge for plain white rice was crazy. The chef was setting out sauces, and due to his mask was hard to hear him. He looked at my niece and said boy want sauce? Then said, hey! You boy or girl? Wth did that have to do with anything? Seriously, could tell she was so hurt and upset the rest of the evening. she was crying later that evening. Not something you should ask a little eleven year old. Her gender had zero to do with her food. My shirmp was charred/burnt and tasted like rubber. My husband requested his salmon medium, and it was charred and soooo dry. Now we know why it had to be drowned in the sauce. Husband did speak with the manager and she said sorry. We knew we were paying a premium, and that included entertainment from the chef. Nothing...nada. other than asking if we wanted sauces, zip. Extremely disappointed in his comment as well as horrible quality of the food. Visit different ones, but not this one.

Bad service and the food is cooked cheap with bad oils and super expensive for the quality of food they have bad bad!!!. Owner very unprofessional and dont redpect people.

We often fancy this restaurant whenever we are in West Edmonton Mall. The meal is always enjoyable and the ambiance welcoming. We did want to give a special shout out to Tyson! His meal well executed and showmanship was book perfect. Thank you young man for the experience well done.

Please bring back bean sprouts, I've been craving Japanese Village for months and finally went and was so disappointed they made the switch to over cooked broccoli lol bring back japanese fries please and thanks! ????
