Always a treat to dine at Madison's Grill, but we where thrilled to learn Chef Chris Hrynyk is behind these great creations and a new menu! I had to dig in to a few of the dishes before taking a picture, breakfast evening dinning where equally excellent. Attentive and courteous service by Kevin rounded the culinary experience and we look forward to returning!
My boyfriend and I decided to go to Madison's to celebrate our 5th anniversary. I'm so glad we did! Our host Kevin was amazing and attentive without being overbearing. We had the 6 course tasting menu(which I had never had) and it was absolutely amazing! We gave Chef Chris carte blanche and enjoyed every single bite! My boyfriend also had the wine pairing which he enjoyed immensely. If you are celebrating and want to enjoy an evening out, with something a little different. I can not recommend this upscale location enough! We enjoyed it enough that we have decided to make it a traditional meal!
What a great place to go for a quiet dinner or intimate date. The food is fresh and well-prepared, the flavor combinations are tasty. The staff are terrific too, very friendly and welcoming. My wife and I look forward to each new experience here.
I have been to Madison's Grill several times over the past 5 years.I made a reservation for Saturday February 13th, 2021 at 8pm for valentine's day. My partner and I were also staying at the Union Bank Inn that night. At 8pm, we walked into the front lobby. There were several other couples standing waiting; at least 2 more couples arrived after us. At 8:20pm, an employee came to ask if we had been spoken to. I said no. She did not ask if we had reservations or who had arrived first. One guest attempted to ask an employee what was happening and was told they were very busy. I made eye contact with several employees over the course of our wait. At 830, one couple that arrived after my partner and I were sat at a table. I then watched the gift I had asked to be placed on my table, be placed on theirs. I informed the man of this, only then was I asked my name and reservation time. The man who was sat at this table informed the staff they were not first in line but were told to keep the table. We were offered wine several times while we waited, politely declining each time. At 845, we were sat at a table. We were given sincere apologies for the wait.I have worked in several restaurants over the past 7 years. I understand the workings and mishaps that can occur in a busy dining room. If tables are occupied by others who are staying past their allotted time, there are not many avenues to take in order to open up space for the next people. I also understand the value of keeping patrons informed about what will be happening during their time at a restaurant. The core issue with this experience was the fact that there seemed to be a disregard for close to a dozen people waiting to enjoy their evening. I understand that a business cannot control how I feel. However, the lack of awareness for what was happening at the front door of their business was alarming. I was not and am not angry; more disappointed that neither I nor the people around me were taken care of. I would have appreciated some acknowledgement from the staff that I had a reservation and it would be honored. I enjoyed my evening with my partner. The food was delicious, and our server was very kind. I hope my next experience at Madison's Grill will help balance out this one.
