Café Alcazar - St. Augustine

We've lived here for several years and just recently discovered this charming restaurant. The food was delightful, the waitstaff was attentive, and the prices were reasonable. The live guitar player was quite talented, keeping the music at a level that allowed us to converse easily. I just had to share our experience! The restaurant is located in what used to be the world's largest indoor swimming pool, which is pretty cool! The carpet was a little worn, but the owner came by our table to check on us and mentioned that new carpeting would be installed the following weekend. This place is truly a wonderful find!

This is the perfect spot for a delightful lunch experience. With elegant linen table cloths, delicious food, and excellent service, it truly stands out. The restaurant has a rich history, adding to its charm. As you dine, you'll enjoy the romantic music playing in the background. We make it a point to visit every time we're in St. Augustine... we absolutely love it!

From start to finish, the whole experience was enjoyable, and the food was outstanding. We tried the escargot, chicken curry salad, and a chicken sandwich that was remarkably fresh and delicious. This delightful experience compelled us to share it with others. We will definitely return and highly recommend that everyone give it a try. You won’t be disappointed! The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is lovely—the interior of the restaurant is absolutely stunning.

My daughter and I stopped by for a quick lunch before heading to the Lightner Museum. We both tried a sandwich combo—one with roast beef and fruit, and the other with roast beef and avgolemono soup. The sandwiches were fantastic, and the fruit was refreshing. The soup tasted just like something Grandma would have made! Our server, Resko, was very knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent service.

We have been to Cafe Alcazar several times and always look forward to our visits. Once again, we had an amazing lunch! It's a wonderful place with FANTASTIC service consistently. We tried the roast beef sandwich, French onion soup, hummus, and the cranberry turkey sandwich. We recommend everything! Just go!
