Donovan's Irish Pub - St. Augustine

Oh my! Where do I begin! All was outstanding. The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was great! I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you like Irish food!

I ordered the Corned Beef and Cabbage, and it was hands down the best I've ever had outside of my own home. The dish came slightly deconstructed, with the meat already shredded and the sautéed cabbage chopped and ready to eat—definitely convenient and delicious! My wife opted for the fish and chips, which she thoroughly enjoyed, especially with her substitution of sweet potato fries instead of the regular ones. Our friends ordered the fish and Reuben, and they seemed very satisfied with their choices as well. The atmosphere was just what you'd expect from an Irish pub, with patrons comfortably enjoying themselves and having a great time. There's a lovely bar area for socializing, and plenty of seating available for a nice dinner with family. We will definitely be returning to Donovan's, and I believe you'll enjoy it just as much as we did! Take care and happy dining! -Rick W

Not a bad little spot with good food and service. I will admit the shepherds pie wasn't as good as I hoped. It was a bit dry, but if could have been an off night for the cook, so would try it again.The Reuben sandwich was great! Really good flavor and perfect blend of dressing and sauerkraut.The only thing I personally didn't like was the bill had two values on it when presented to beCash price, or credit card price. Using a card was $1.50 more than cash price.If you're new to this place be aware of this. I get the idea that card holders are being hit with the 2-5% CC transaction fee, but when you see it at the end of your meal (if it was in the menu I honestly missed it) it's not a great impression.I'll go again but likely not a place I'll visit regularlyOne odd but funny quirk that no one knows why; they're prices we've with weird cent values: $18.07 or $12.74. Nothing wrong with it but when I asked about it, the staff had no idea if there was a meaning behind it, or if it's just what their value of that food is. Either way it was just funny to see she a conversation starter.

I have to start by saying how AMAZING my food was today! I popped in to grab some takeout and ordered Buffalo chicken tenders with blue cheese. They were cooked to perfection, and the homemade blue cheese dressing was so good I could drink it — absolutely delicious! I also ordered a turkey club wrap with pub chips, and the portion was enormous; I couldn't finish it. Whenever I'm on that side of St. Augustine, I make sure to stop by this great Irish pub. They just installed new carpet, and it looks so clean and bright. A big shout-out to Kristin and her son Jareb, the owners — they're doing an awesome job, and it really shows. THANK YOU for a quick and delicious lunch!

This is a great place to grab a bite to eat. Their seafood burgers are good as well as their salads. When I'm in town I make it a point to come here to eat lunch or dinner.
