To be honest ended up here as a last resort as we were pretty late from our sight seeing! The location is superb with fantastic views of the beech both inside and out with a lovely outside eating and smoking area. The menu is quiet extensive but as it was late and we hadn't eaten there before we opted for the cheapest thing on the menu, burger and chips. I can't say it was the best burger we've ever eaten but it was well cooked and presented very well. For the money we paid it was fine. There were other options and I'll definitely give them a try next time.
Nice cafe food, quick service, lovely view! Handy that it has its own car park.
Although a cafe in appearance, it's a great location with seating indoors and out. Clean and bright and friendly, the food is good. Great place for a pot of tea or even a cream tea. Lunch menu includes fish dishes and a superb rack of lamb. Latter was about £15 with trimmings. Recommended
The Wayside Cafe is a charming little restaurant that is much less crowded than other spots along the bay. Every table offers a lovely sea view. The food is delicious, with a wide variety of dishes, excellent seafood, fresh salads, and even some Thai options. They also have an assortment of desserts, including cake. It's the only place in Jersey where you can enjoy Swiss Mövenpick ice cream! The service is very attentive as well. Highly recommended! - Anne Müller, Germany
