Portillo's Hot Dogs - St. Charles

Portillos is a Chicago staple. Love getting a portillos hot dog or the Italian beef whenever I'm back in town.

The food is good but the staff that place food in the Pickup/Delivery do not pay attention. Twice now I've done the online order only to sit and wait 20m because they place the food in the delivery area not the pickup area. The food and I just sit needlessly until I go up and look over everything on every rack and row. Now the food is cold. The best ever Italian Beef Sausage sandwich. Period.

A fairly average atmosphere and conflicting quality of service, but the food was far below expectations for the price. Not bad for a quick lunch I suppose but certainly never my first choice.

Chocolate cake is one of our favorites for birthday parties!!
