The Evergreen Pub Grill - St. Charles

Well. First let me say, I love the bar. My menu said that I get a salad or soup with my dinner. So I told the bartender I would like a salad and she snapped at me, You don 't get salad with the fish. I asked for a menu and showed her that the menu statedthat I get soup or salad and she said, Well. You don 't. It 's a typo on the menu. Hhhmm. I ordered the fried walleye. Thebreading was greasy and mushy and flavorless, but the fish was very light and tasted great. However, I was given three verysmall pieces of fish for $17. So. Not. Worth. It. The fries were hot and tasty. I was stull hungry and orderer the beignets. So.Not. Beignets. They were fried donut holes. They were warm and good and I received like 10 of them for $5. Very much worth it. Imight go back and ty the chili.

On Sunday 10/23/2022 around 3pm, my sister I went there for dinner. We like their food esp., fishfry. well we waited 45 min for our dinner with no explanations or apologies from our waitress until we complained. (actually it seemed she was ignoringus). Finally we were told they took large phone orders party tables before us. I think we will be ignoring the evergreen pubnow.

Went for Taco Tuesday tonight. The tacos weren't just thrown together for a cheap, daily special. The chef took pride in making excellent tacos that were as good as any at the good Mexican restaurants around here. We go to the Evergreen frequently andeverything on the menu is great. They really try to make everything so that It's top notch. From the smoked meats to the pizzaand everything in between it's just a great neighborhood pub with everyone you want a pub to be. Our server, Dory, wasfantastic. All of them are great. I hope I spelled Dory's name right.

Had the fish fry Friday night. The perch and walleye were awesome. My son got a cheese pizza and it was really good. Also got the clam chowder which we thoroughly enjoyed. Will definitely be back! The staff was a treat too. Like walking into a friendshouse.

Chose Evergreen for it's fish fry. Not a Friday night. They have 3 choices of fish with 5 ways to cook it. They did not disappoint. Decent portion sizes. Our server was Kelly, she was very friendly.This will be our new dinner spot.
