Throwback Sports - St. Charles

I visited this restaurant with my sister while I was in town, and it was fantastic! We enjoyed it so much that we came back for bingo the next time. The food was excellent; I had the BBQ chicken salad, and it was delicious. Our server, Jenna, was incredible too!

The service was terrible, and the restaurant was nearly empty. The food was disappointing as well; my burger was overcooked and of poor quality. Overall, it was a major letdown.

This restaurant serves some of the best food I've ever tasted. They recently revamped their menu, and it's absolutely fantastic. The wings are enormous, the salads are big enough to share, and the Italian beef egg rolls are truly amazing. I can't forget to mention the zucchini—it's lemon pepper flavored and incredibly crispy. Jenna, the bartender, provided excellent recommendations and was very attentive throughout our visit. I will definitely be returning!

The service was good, but the prices are way too high for a sports bar. Be prepared to spend a lot for your evening out. We ordered loaded tater tots, which usually come on a large plate piled high with toppings at other places. We love loaded tots, so we were excited to try them here. Instead, the portion we received was about the size of a side plate and barely enough for both my wife and me. It cost $12 for that! Burgers are $16, and Bud Light is $5. These prices are absurd for a sports bar. We were very disappointed when the waitress brought this to our table— we exchanged looks of disbelief. We won’t be returning.

This place is fantastic! I hosted a celebration for my birthday, my anniversary, and my recovery from three successful surgeries within four months. They met all my needs perfectly. They reserved tables for over 30 guests. A special shoutout to Lindsay Conner for arranging the amazing appetizers on a separate table at the back of the room and ensuring that our guests always had a drink in hand. I highly recommend Throwback Sports Bar!
