We received completely the wrong order, after numerous calls to deliveroo and ember inns we finally got through to be told that our food was still at the pub and we need to now come and collect as deliveroo wont come, like it was our fault. On getting home our food was not only cold, the portion sizes were very small and the beer battered mushrooms were tasteless. We at least expected the food to be redone as we were now coming out of our way to get our own food, we may aswell have booked a table but can't as we have young children. Awful experience and ruined what should have been a great celebratory night.
Staff are always friendly and attentive. Food is “nice pub food” no frills but always hot and tasty and value for money. The place is always buzzing but I do recommend to book. Sometimes we are moved around to accommodate booked tables but this is not the pubs fault as they are busy. Ladies toilet needs some refurbishment but apart from that we love using the pub
Been a few times now service is awful wait for ages to get served at the bar. Manager needs to smile more often and the food is nothing special just normal pub grub
A disappointing visit to the Moreton Hall pub. Despite the menu having allergy information on the website. The pub have no measures in place to avoid cross contamination. We had one of our large group who is coeliac. Their choice of dish was limited down to one starter of nachos and a main of curry with rice. The pub are happy to take away the naan bread and charge the same price, but if you want gluten free poppadoms as a substitute you have to pay extra. The allergy menu states some items are gluten free with chips, but these are cooked in the same deep fat fryer as breaded items. The only thing I will acknowledge in this is that we were told at point of ordering. The whole evening was a mixed bag from a muddle up on the original booking where an email enquiry was not acknowledged, to refusing to take a Blue Light card voucher code on a Friday. Despite the offer being Monday to Friday. Two reasons given. Only honoured Monday to Thursday. Then couldn't use it as I had paid a deposit to hold the table and it couldn't be used against that. I never heard of a cash deposit being considered a voucher. Also like other reviews the booked table was not ready when we arrived so had to wait for tables to be dragged together before we could sit down. Won't bother again.
We booked Morton hall for a work lunch, when we arrived we were not even acknowledged. It took 25 mins for my work colleague to let the person at reception know that we had arrived. We had booked a table for 12pm, the tables weren't ready, when they were we'd been put on 3 separate tables, so we had to move them ourselves. One of the girls moved so slowly I thought time had slowed, she had no idea what she was doing. I watched her at the bar and it took her 15 mins to make four coffees from a machine that you just pressed a button. Food wasn't pleasant, not what I'd ordered, service was slow and unfriendly. This was my first and last visit.
