The golf course at the Bluffs is closed, because the person who owns the course and the clubhouse, does not want to keep it up. What a shame it was a nice course and Clubhouse.
The course is beautiful and I was excited to spend my Saturday off here. The club house and staff need help. While I understand the restaurant closing, the clubhouse had run out of all snacks except a snickers and skittles. The staff were inattentive at best. I watched another couple check out for a round. The receptionist then turned to me to check me out while the first customers obviously still wanted help. After I pointed it out she went back to them. They had never been here before and didn’t know where carts were or food. The clerk gave basic 2-3 word answers with no eye contact and stated that the restaurant was closed and gave no other information about food. I asked why they ran out of snacks early on a Saturday and she just said we never really had any. When asked where the closest food place was she was uninformative and curt.I would like the course to do well because it’s beautiful. But if you want it to do so you need to train your staff to be friendlier and provide adequate customer service so that new customers understand the course and options. If you don’t have food, make sure the staff know to give options for where customers can get it.Edit: after playing, the course also needs attention as well.
Fairways were not cut and all bunkers were terrible. Seems like it was a good course at one time but the course we played was poorly maintained. It’s a shame. Don’t waste your time and money.
Awesome course layout, beautiful views, all at a reasonable price. Everyone is very nice from staff to the members. The food was excellent, had the club sandwich and sweet potato fries and it was only $9. This place is a treasure.
