Gaststuben Zum Schlossli - St. Gallen

A lovely place to celebrate, it never fails to deliver. Food tastes as good as it looks. The combination on the plate always works well. Service is always excellent. It is of the highest quality all round.

This could be another case of expectations set too high. Since the place is rated so highly, we expected to be amazed. Instead, it turned out be just a good solid place with reasonable food and friendly service, but not much more than that. Go with average expectations and you will probably be happier.

A family trip to st Gallan, particularly to have dinner at this restaurant. Food delightful, service just as good. A lovely family evening in a beautiful historic building. We return to England but will make the journey from family home in Zurich next time. Thank you all staff for a true,y memorable 49 birthday celebration for the family. This small, cozy gem in the center of St. Gallen is the place for a truly memorable and romantic meal. The staff was welcoming and attentive. The host, Ambrose, was very gracious and friendly. The menu included many items which were local to St. Gallen which we tried with pleasure. The fillet of venison was perfection. I tried the Cordon Bleu and it was delicious. The portions here are extremely generous. We had a house white wine which was fantastic. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. We are from New York and have been to many fine restaurants and I count this right up there. A real gem.

Highly recommend the Suprise Dinner at Gaststuben zum Schlossli. Each course included a beautifully prepared selection of flavours in interesting combinations all absolutely delicious. Wine paired with each of the 5 courses was fantastic and certainly generous. We had a wonderful table in the Tower with supreme service. We thoroughly enjoyed a most memorable experience.
