La Vigna - St. Gallen

The chef Manfred Kahr usually explains all his guests personally what he has prepared in the kitchen for lunch the offer one meat, one fish and one veggie option that's it no hassle with menu cards etc. I've been guest...here for years and it's always just excellent fair prices and terrific fresh Italian food and great bistro atmosphere.

I like this restaurant very much, I love the food their. The selection of the food and wine is great and the quality very good. A reservation is most often very necessary at the weekend at least two weeks in advanced.

Unbelievable what I experienced. I wanted to make a reservation and was really crushed on the phone. I wonder if I actually know it 's Sunday and I 'm disturbing him on a Sunday! But it was clearly written on the website that reservations cannot be made by email, but only by telephone. So I followed this instruction, thinking that the reservation could be made to an answerer.....and I get so insulted. Certainly not good advertising for this restaurant, the HSG students will hopefully find a better alternative with a nice restaurant owner.

The Lavigna is a very friendly and loving little restaurant, great wines and very fine tapas and pasta. The staff is super friendly and has a lot of knowledge about wines and food. Thank you for everything
