Costa Coffee - St. Helens

My son is a big fan of Costa, so we were both looking forward to trying the Maple Latte and other items. The coffee was delicious and the toasties never disappoint. However, I have the same complaint as usual with most Costa locations - the cleanliness. The floor was messy and there was food scattered under many tables. I was so put off that I didn't even bother taking a photo to share. I couldn't help but wonder if all Costas are understaffed or run by franchises trying to cut costs. It seemed like they were prioritizing profit over cleanliness. If they had enough staff, they should have them clean tables and sweep the floors throughout the day. In this particular location, the staff was juggling taking orders, making coffee, preparing toasties, and handling the till without washing their hands in between tasks.

The customer service at this restaurant was excellent, with a friendly and welcoming staff. I enjoyed a delicious drink, the salted caramel frappe. The place was also very clean.

Of the four Costas in St Helens, this is the best of them and one of the best chain coffee shops in the town. A more cosy feel to it here and, although the coffee is generic at each Costa branch, it just tastes that bit nicer when the surroundings are a little cosier.

I'm a real fan of this chain and visit regularly to this store but the last 2 times me and my husband visited iv checked my points and they haven't gone on iv gone to the counter and asked a member of staff to put them on for me it happened again today my husbands hadnt gone it why is this happening costa coffee otherwise staff are very friendly in this store
