When I asked about the gluten-free options, the waitress... was immediately on hand to explain what options gluten free were and detailed the incoming processes they complete to ensure that cross-contamination is avoided in all areas. I chose GF Garlic Fingers as Starter and GF Pasta as the main and I am not exaggerated when I say it was the best gluten-free food I had in a restaurant since I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease. Unbelievable service and food was delicious. 10/10!
We went by and decided to dip and eat for lunch. The restaurant was hot because the air conditioning didn't work. We had pizza and chicken pasta, which was good. There were not too many cartridges, so it was surprising that the pasta... was dry and the cheese was a bit over broiled.
Recently, my party of 4 visited BP Downtown St. John for drinks and food during the fourth game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet on this Monday night. We waited 10 minutes to be greeted upon arrival. Our server, Wachsin, took our drink order. The fishbowl drinks were very watered down, and when we mentioned this, we were offered lemon juice to try to improve the taste. Unfortunately, the drinks were still not enjoyable. The food was good, but the service was slow. We ordered 4 signature caesars, which are normally served with an extreme bean, a pepperoni stick, a celery stick, and a slice of lime. However, our drinks were missing some of these ingredients, making them disappointing. The wings were served without any wipes, and the women's bathroom did not have any paper towels to dry our hands during our visit. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience. Our waitress seemed to have excuses for the issues, but did offer to remove the fish bowls from our bill.
I was on a low carb diet and decided to try out Boston Pizza, which was conveniently located near the now closed Mill Brew Pub. Boston Pizza is not typically a great choice for those on a low carb diet, but I decided to treat myself. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they offered a deluxe pizza with a cauliflower crust, making it a gluten-friendly option with potentially lower carbs than the regular crust. I found the cauliflower crust to be quite tasty and I didn't feel as bloated as I usually do after eating regular pizza. Overall, my experience at this Boston Pizza was much better than at other locations I have visited in the past in terms of price and service. The service, food, price and atmosphere were all decent and I was happy to leave spending less than $30. I would definitely consider trying them again in the future.
We stopped here for a late lunch (2:30 pm). We had to ask for the lunch menu and waited 20 minutes for our meal. Waitress said it was because I ordered the grilled chicken. The restaurant had six other customers. The peach and beat salad...was made with big humps of Romane lettuce with the spine in and there were very few small pieces of beets. This salad was not comparable to the same salad at other BP locations.
