Ford's Drive In - St. Joseph

What an amazing place! I absolutely love the food and the friendly staff. My favorite dish is the double All American with cheese, paired with fries and a chocolate malt!

This is the best fast food burger joint, absolutely worth the drive from anywhere in St. Joe—even from Kansas City! The French fries are consistently crispy and golden, and their shakes are the best in town. The burgers, chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, and everything else on the menu are fantastic too. This place has been around for a long time and still knows how to make great fast food, unlike some other well-known chains I could mention.

If you're looking for a place where the owner might come to your car and aggressively try to force his way inside, then this is the spot for you. My husband and I visited tonight and ordered a chocolate shake and a strawberry sundae. The sundae was so overflowing that it made a huge mess when I tried to open it, which of course it did. I went back inside to ask them to remake it. I parked right by the entrance, and there was no one else there except for us. When my husband went inside to get the sundae fixed, the owner approached my car, banging on my window hard and attempting to open my locked door, insisting that I should move. We weren't going anywhere — we had been there for only a few minutes and were about to leave as my husband was returning. I hope he enjoyed the shake, as my husband ended up throwing it at him to make him back off, but don't worry, most of it ended up on my car instead.

My fish sandwiches bun was stale and twice as big as fish. Cheddar cheese bites, burnt, inedible. Saw a bug on my friends burger wrapper, but thank God it was wasted cuz of the taste. The bug was identical to a bedbug. My friend says this place used to be so good. Not anymore.

I love this place. I have been going here since I was young. Their fried mushrooms are to die for and chili cheese fries are amazing.
