Rc's Lunch Car - St. Joseph

We were from out of town. We found this place on Google. The reviews made us want to try it out. We wanted a diner type of experience, with freshly prepared food in a clean homey atmosphere. It was just what we wanted.They greeted us and welcomed us when we came in. We ate there late afternoon(about 4:30 pm) on a Wednesday. We had the place to ourselves due to the time of day, but there were carry out orders going out the door. My one friend ordered a Rueben. She said it was the best she has ever had. My other friend has a burger. I had shrimp tacos. Both of these were great tasting and presented well. We all had hand cut fries. They were great and huge portions! We took some home! Also the sandwiches were so big that my friends took some home. My one friend ordered a root beer float, t came in a frosted mug with the ice cream in the mug and the cold can of pop separate. Perfect! She could keep pouring it in to keep it a creamy beverage, like she wanted! This place is so great! Everything was just as it should be, clean, welcoming, great food and service! Don’t go to St. Joseph without coming here!

Atmosphere on 9/25 60/70s music...loved it Service very hospitable/nice Food ordered the Rueben....was great...I have almost stopped ordering Ruebens because a lot of places know how to ruin them....RCs does the Rueben justice. Reason for visiting visiting St Joseph for a few days....looked for local restaurants...would go back again

This is an amazing hole in the wall small business restaurant. It is certainly pricey but it is worth it. If you want to treat yourself to a good burger or sandwich, this is a treat. I’ve eaten here 4 or 5 times. I’ve had the gyro burger, the patty melt x2, cubano, a smoked wing (when they let you order 1) and coconut curry soup (not sure if they still do soups). They also have tacos, salads, milkshakes and loaded fries that I’ve not yet tried myself. The food is fresh, high quality and the portions are perfect. I will return here any time I come through St. Joe as long as it stays around.

Literally EVERYTHING I've had here has been phenomenal! The magic these Chefs work with unusual ingredient combinations is amazing and so, so delicious! The customer service is equally phenomenal. If you visit St. Joe, RC's Lunch Car is a MUST, you will not be disappointed!

Spectacular sandwiches, we ordered 3 to split so we taste them! Wowsa! All excellent and the fries are divine!
