Joy Luck Chinese Buffet - St Louis

We came in to celebrate for my bf’s birthday and the food and service were awesome. We got the all-you-can-eat hot pot which includes the buffet as well. It’s roughly $27 per person and they bring you a ton of food. The broth was clearly made from scratch and included great ingredients including TCM herbs like ginger, Angelica root, jujubes, goji berries, fermented black beans and dried chilies (we got the half spicy and half regular). The longer it simmered for the more delicious the broth became. The spicy one was actually spicy and had a Sichuan kick to it too. It also came with thinly sliced fresh beef, lamb, and pork, whole prawns, enoki, cabbage, two kinds of fish cakes, tofu and some other fermented soybean thing, noodles and tripe, plus extra chopped garlic, two sauces, and fresh cilantro. The food from the buffet was pretty darn good too. The waitstaff was kind and attentive. Definitely worth the price and I’m glad i live so close so we can go there again.

The buffet is good. Except for the rice. The rice needs work.

The delivery was fast but the food was so dry I know rice is dry but the other dishes have sauce wasn't happy

Lunchtime buffet for $12, I was full of pork and chicken by mid afternoon! Great food, great price, well worth it.

Exactly what you want in a Chinese all you can eat buffet. Everything was what you wanted it to be, and it goes for 14.95 a person.They also do a hot pot, I would trust it to be solid.
