The hotel rooms are charming, and the front desk staff are always ready to assist with any needs you might have. However, it was Oscar who truly stood out! He was incredibly kind, exceptionally accommodating, caring, flexible, and absolutely hilarious—he made our time so much fun! His level of empathy and dedication is truly rare. The quality of his service is outstanding, prompt, and simply unmatched. Hilton St. Louis Airport is incredibly fortunate to have him transporting guests to and from their home away from home! And to Hilton’s corporate office, you have hit the jackpot with Oscar as part of your team—what a fantastic choice for a shuttle driver! Thank you, Oscar! You made my experience at Hilton so much better, and I’m so grateful to have met you!
I frequently travel for work, and one of my favorite places to stay is the Hilton at Lambert Airport. The customer service there is exceptional! The front desk staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. When you're constantly on the go, it’s a huge relief to have someone drop you off right at the entrance and take care of your luggage for you. The shuttle drivers between the hotel and the airport are outstanding. I had the pleasure of meeting one of these drivers, Oscar Davis, who was not only friendly but also very helpful. He gave me great advice on where to be dropped off and what I needed to do, and he kindly handled my bags without hesitation. While it might be part of his job, his willingness to help truly made a difference. Oscar was fantastic, and I hope to see him again on my next trip. Kudos to the Hilton staff at Lambert Airport in St. Louis!
This hotel is the epitome of an airport hotel, yet it also stands as its antithesis. **Epitome**: It’s just across the street from Terminal 2 of St. Louis Lambert International Airport. There’s a free shuttle that runs frequently and makes customized trips to both terminals, with friendly and efficient drivers. **Antithesis**: Unlike most airport hotels that tend to rank low within their brand, the Hilton St. Louis Airport feels more like a standard Hilton—or perhaps even a fancy one. Honestly, it’s the nicest airport hotel I’ve encountered near an airport, aside from some larger properties near LAX, although my childhood impressions of those hotels could be skewed. The hotel is well-placed next to the terminals and runways, minimizing noise from flights and avoiding any direct flight paths. Because of a specific Southwest Airlines meltdown during my visit with my dad, I ended up renting a car in Kansas City and drove it to St. Louis. However, once we arrived at the hotel, a car was unnecessary, so I returned it and received a convenient ride back to the hotel from a shuttle driver who even gave me his phone number. We were in town to watch the Dodgers play the Cardinals and utilized St. Louis's MetroLink light rail system to travel to and from the game, making the hotel's location perfect for us. The complimentary shuttle took us to and from Terminal 2, where we caught the MetroLink. The room itself was very nice, clean, and well-maintained. The layout of the hotel is quite unusual, with different sections having varying highest floors, and two sets of elevators that don’t all service the same areas. If your room isn’t conveniently located off the main lobby elevators, you might find yourself a bit lost—especially when searching for the stairs. However, it’s a more enjoyable type of getting lost, so it wasn’t a major issue. Aside from one slightly flustered night staff member, everyone at the front desk was exceptionally kind. My dad had informed them of my arrival and that I would be needing a key. When I got there, the staff member was very welcoming and took the time to check my ID rather than just handing me the key without a second glance. The lobby features a spacious sitting area that’s comfortable and air-conditioned, making it a pleasant place to wait for others, especially during the muggy St. Louis summer heat.
Now that the short lived Hampton became a Wingate, I'm thinking that the already existing Hilton children must be impoverished in the industrial STL area because the hotels all look as though their glory days are well behind them and this Hilton is a prime example. Walking into the lobby offers the same dated splendor of stepping onto the Titanic. I chose it because my flight often gets in at midnight and this is one of the few hotels that offer a 24 hour shuttle. David was kind and talkative but they don't offer a modern way to tip the drivers. /sad. The host kindly offered me room 535 in the closer of the two towers. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Parking isn't free. There's no free breakfast unless you're a Diamond member and the rooms do not offer a mini fridge to store leftovers. The price was about level with other Hilton brands in the area so it's all about what amenities are most important to you.
Not the quality level I expected for a Hilton-level property. The rooms and hotel are a bit dated in decor and could use a freshening up. Food was okay, not great. Fitness center could use more newer equipment. Staff was friendly and helpful.
