Unique concept and cool atmosphere with all of the artwork. The lobby installation was impressive and check in was smooth. The rooftop was a nice place to grab a drink and enjoy the city view. Modern bathroom with a nice walk in shower. Very easy parking on the weekend. It was a great location for the festival that we were in town for. Nice for a little weekend getaway.

After making the payment, I received a notification on my phone that I had been charged $394.26, which was $80 more than the total I had paid online to book the room. I inquired about this extra charge, and they informed me that it was for the room. I showed them my receipt to prove I had already paid, and they apologized and canceled the charge. This meant I effectively spent $700 for just one night. When I asked when I could expect my money back, they told me that it would be on hold until after I checked out. What? They were going to hold an extra $390 until I left? That seemed outrageous. They assured me I would receive the refund right after checkout. Deciding it wasn’t worth arguing further, I headed to my room, which had a strange, musty smell and was smaller than any other hotel or motel room I’ve ever stayed in. Outside my room, there was a cart piled with what looked like dirty towels—messy and left there for anyone to see. The coffee maker was broken, only the volume worked on the remote, and the thermostat didn’t function properly, leaving me drenched in sweat all night. At least the room was nice to look at, right? Fast forward to checkout today. When the front desk staff asked about my stay, I gave them a lackluster review. They then informed me that I wouldn’t actually receive my $390 back for 3-4 days, as that’s the procedure when these things happen. So, it sounds like this is a recurring issue—be cautious when paying them anything! As I was leaving, I noticed the supposedly “secured” parking came with a ridiculous $25 fee, yet the gate had been open all night. Anyone could easily have driven in and tampered with or stolen a vehicle without any trouble, since there was no need to use a pass to exit. I absolutely will not return to this hotel, and I will regret my choice for quite some time. Please be aware if you plan to stay here—double-check your charges and make sure your car alarm is on!

Room wasn't clean when we walked in but the staff quickly upgraded us to a larger room on the spot. An amazing view of the city and super close to everything. A one of a kind hotel and nice to stay in!

This is a truly unique experience in the heart of St. Louis' Arts District! The concept of selecting your room based on the color or emotion you wish to feel during your stay adds a delightful twist to the usual hotel experience. I opted for a green suite, representing rejuvenation, and I absolutely loved it! Additionally, the Arts Bar on the Rainbow Terrace rooftop was fantastic. The drinks and snacks were excellent, but the breathtaking view was the real highlight! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting St. Louis!
