Sugaree Baking Company - St. Louis

We ordered a carrot cake for a birthday and it was the BEST carrot cake we’ve ever had! Great customer service and the cake was beautiful.

I was so happy to see Sugaree reopened, but under a different owner. I was curious about their pies and I was told by the new owners that everything is the same. Same recipes, same techniques, same everything. However, while anyone can have the exact same recipes, it’s the love that someone gives that makes half of the pie. Now, I really want to give the new Sugaree 2 stars, but I am hoping they will read and try to improve so I can give them 5 stars as I have before. So, here’s my experience on the new pies: 1. Similar in taste, but there’s a lot that is off. 2. Crust is not the same. It is much more gooey dough than being having more texture and crispness. 3. Filling for the apple pie has way more applesauce than apples and the apples in it are way too mushy. 4. There is not the same amount of filling in the pie. It’s about half of what it used to be. If you’re looking for a great pie, Sugaree has some work to do. Hopefully they can put a lot more heart and unconditional passion in it and turn things around because the previous owners made some big shoes to fill. If the new owners cannot improve, the new Sugaree will just be another pie place that goes out of business like most of the other places.

My boyfriend and I just had the spinach and artichoke quiche-amazing! Now I know what to have for breakfast next Christmas! Can't wait to have the desserts tonight!

I loved the atmosphere here. The staff were really nice and friendly. Very attentive and patient. The decorations for the holiday were awesome. I wish I got pictures of the figurine village. The bakery items were delicious. My sisters and I bought a cookie platter and every type was delightful. The pies were also very good.

We love all the goods and sweets from Sugaree I am a new fan of salted chocolate chunk cookies, they are the best! So happy Sugaree continues thank you :
