Native New Yorker - St Lucie West

Looked like it is permanently closed. No tables or chairs visible through window.

Just tried to stop there and there is a sign on the door CLOSED. First and last time, oh well.

My friend and I decided to have lunch there as it was finally open. By this I mean the last two times we had tried they had the doors closed and were gone when they should've been open with a sign in the window saying that they would be back. Anyway we walked in and the first thing we noticed is no air-conditioning so it was a little warm in there. We decided to stay and order lunch. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with some macaroni salad on the side and into the second or third bite of the chicken I bit down on some thing hard. I felt sharp pain in my tooth like I had never felt and took the food out of my mouth and looked to my friend as to what to do. I was in pain and horrified, there were a couple people eating so I didn't want to make a scene. I left the rest of my food and wanted to get into the dentist as soon as I could before I went back and spoke to the owner. Now my friend saw what happened so they were a witness to the incident. Needless to say that as of today she hasn't even had a courtesy or decency to call me back despite me showing up in the restaurant and being treated like I was a criminal. This incident caused me a lot of pain and money that I had to put out because the tooth was fractured from whatever I bit down on and I had to have it extracted. I will never eat at that establishment again. The least the owner could've done was called me back and listen to what I had to say and somehow make it square with me but she has done nothing but avoid me. You know what they say about karma, my friend and I called it a couple months ago and said that they were going to go belly up and that's exactly what it looks like.. I was there this morning. I looked through the doors and all the equipment is gone the chairs and tables are gone, they are gone. Something told me to not go in there and eat and I did anyway so I didn't listen to my gut instinct. I was treated very rudely and the woman that is working there did nothing but yell and scream at me and told me to leave and all I was trying to do is get information about the owner to get her to call me. Beware, do not go in there do not order online they are never there and it's very shady.

We've tried several times to order takeout from here over the past 10 days,but they have not been opened past 4:30, despite saying 7:00 online. Have eaten from here before, and liked it. We have company and thought it would be an easy way to tackle dinner. Hope this works itself out.

Great selection of NY deli foods, hard to find in FL. Great staff, and the owner is terrific!
