Ava's Pizzeria Wine St. Michaels

Stopped in for a glass of wine before dinner reservations elsewhere and ended up having a bottle of wine and New Orleans bbq shrimp for an app. Food was delicious and the service was fast despite it being very crowded. It gets very loud and the indoor seating is tight but no complaints about anything else.

A cute Italian place with moderately priced good quality Italian fare. We chose to eat on the enclosed porch/patio area to enjoy the fresh air. My wife enjoyed her garlic shrimp dish while I devoured my pepperoni extra cheese pizza. I would describe it as a thinish but soft crust with abundant spicy pepperoni full fat mozzarella. It was generous in quantity, as I only could eat half of it. The food appeared rapidly and our waitress was friendly responsive. We will definitely return on our next visit.

Loved the Detroit style pizza. The meatballs are the best!
