We love this restaurant, and have been there for ages since we were kids. The food is delicious, clean and cozy environment, very child friendly, and lovely staff and great customer service! Would recommend others to go and try their dishes!
Delicious food, very authentic and homemade.<br/ <br/ We had the satay beef and fried dumplings as entrees; the satay sauce had a nice flavour but it was a little thin and watery. The dumplings were delicious!<br/ <br/ For mains we had 'lamb with spring onion ' and 'beef and vegetables with hot chilli sauce '. Both of these were delicious. I found that the beef was a little softer and more flavourful than the lamb, but both were overall really nice. Do keep in mind that the 'beef with vegetables in hot chilli sauce ' is definitely quite spicy; even if you think you 're good with spicy food, I think you should be careful with this one.<br/ <br/ For dessert we had gold and silver mantou, which was also very nice, and felt very relieving to be eating after the spicy main meal.<br/ <br/ Staff were very kind and friendly, and we weren 't waiting too long at all before the food started coming out. Prices are also super reasonable I have no idea why this place has 3/4 dollar signs on here. Mains are, on average, a mere $17 $20 each. Also do check out their banquet menus if you 're looking to eat a lot on a budget; I believe they had a banquet menu for two people that came with I think 2 entrees and either 2 or 3 main meals, all for $30!<br/ <br/ My only complaint with this place is that the English descriptions of the dishes are a little off. I 'm not very familiar with the Chinese names of dishes I just know what they look like, not what they 're called so I relied on the English names listed instead. 'Beef and vegetables with hot chilli sauce ' just sounded, to me, like some beef and vegetables stir fried in some kind of thin chilli sauce. If I had known that the dish was 水煮牛肉 (in English I think it 's just known as 'shuizhu ' I probably wouldn 't have gotten it, as the spiciness is a little too much for me. It also didn 't include very many vegetables as the English name had implied it would just some onion and bean sprouts. The only reason we 'd ordered this one was because we thought that 'lamb with spring onion ' wouldn 't have many but it turned out to have a lot while the beef didn 't have many at all.
Ate in the restaurant and had fried dumplings, hokkien chicken noodles, Mongolian beef (which came sizzling on a hot plate) and Bok choi and mushrooms. They brought us prawn crackers to munch on whilst the rest was prepared very quickly. The Mongolian beef was tasty with a sweet and spicy sauce. The fried dumplings were well filled and the flavours were well balanced. The bok choi had a mushroom flavoured sauce and was cooked just right. We'd ordered the noodles for our three year old but there was too much so they packed the leftovers up for us.Overall very happy with our meal and the service. It would be good if child portions were available.
Tasty food!. We order takeaway from here a couple times a month love it!! The vegetarian spring rolls are always hot and crispy, served with a plum sauce(? . The veggie fried rice is another guaranteed good dish. We tend to order the same mains every time crispy sesame beef, salt and coriander chicken and szechuan pork. We've never been disappointed with the quality or quantity of the food. We haven't dined in so we can't comment on table service but our order is always ready when they say and the staff are friendly when we pick it up.
